Social entrepreneurship is fast growing popular and the opportunity in it is far beyond the buzz. Personally, I am of the opinion that growth in India will eventually move out of the big cities and happen int he rural confines of our country. I believe that the value waiting to be unlocked in our hinterlands is enoromous. Of course social entrepreneurship doesn’t just mean you have to work in villages. It is about empowering the underprivileged wherever they might be.
I hope the two buzzwords of our time social media and social entrepreneurship work together and grow to completely alter the value chain and entrepreneurial eco system for the better.

The latest in the casualty ward being my favorite boy Twitter. I find it extremely narrow on the part of firms to simply ban any medium that has traces of creating a non productive workforce. Banning is not a solution, in its broadest sense it is colloquial and only leads to resentment.
Social networking is fun. At least, it used to be. When Orkut started, it used to be a real good time pass for jobless people like you. New friends kept poring in, very old acquaintances, who were out of touch for a long time, started sending you teasers, meeting plans were hatched on Orkut and you, being early users, started creating communities on a lot of your passions…
