Indiatimes.com had a busy couple of days if their latest announcements are anything to go by. Singing the same tune as we did here at WATBlog on Friday, when the air was filled with more mobile industry stories than any other, Indiatimes has launched three mobile enabled services catering to different needs and projecting different business streams that mobiles are capable of. I guess this only adds to our assertion that mobile is moving ahead and moving ahead big.
Update: Afaqs has reported today that Bigadda is reportedly spending over 4 crores in popularising the mobile version of its site. Well I caught some ads on tv as well guess Reliance ADAG has pots of money..

Orkut has quietly launched a feature that will take the orkut platform beyond the web and into people hands i.e. sms for your scraps. I personally feel this feature has come too late for the early adoptor segment which already seems to have moved on to things like facebook, twitter and the even more enthusiastic ones are feasting on friendfeed which kind of aggregates your social graph.
Rediff has spruced up Product Search. It still essentially remains a retail aggregation model. Some things that Open2Save.in (we wrote about them Yesterday) can learn from this model and vice versa. A lot of innovative feature and interesting mashups. Search made interesting with peripherals.
