I just got informed by Bharatmatrimony that they too have tied up with Tata Sky and unlike Shaadi.com - Dishtv alliance have already launched the service on the Tata Sky yesterday itself. So as I write this blog the press conference is being held at chennai.

Its almost ironical that we mentioned in our post covering the shaadi and dishtv (which was done just an hour ago!) tie up that the reaction would come in the form of bharatmatrimony or jeevansaathi tying up with Tata Sky. Talk about hitting the nail on the head!

Well taking the web everywhere seems to be the funda being followed by the big web players. So if earlier it was about opening offline centres now Shaadi.com has set its eyes on the set top box users by tying up with DTH player DishTv to provide Shaadi Active a service that will allow DishTv viewers to browse through matrimonial profiles on their TV Screens!

It seems like many of the matrimonial sites are looking at stepping up the experience for their portals as far as the interface is concerned. Just had a look at 2 of the Indian Matrimonial Sites that are regarded as the market leaders with respect to Matrimony in India – Bharat Matrimony and Shaadi.

Possible reasons:Let us be real – Common Sense is not too common. Many would consider 2bhk as a site which only lists 2 Bedroom Hall Kitchen apartments.
