After launching Weave 0.2, the synchronization plugin that enables data to be synchronized across multiple computers for Mozila’s Popular web browser Firefox, Mozilla Labs have now announced a new project where it wants us users to participate and contribute towards their goal of designing a next generation web-browser.

Mozilla Labs have announced the availability of Mozilla Weave v0.2, a project that will enable data synchronization from your browser across multiple computers. Originally announced back in December 2007, the 0.2 release is the third major release of the project. Moreover, the Firefox download day record, which we talked about about earlier, has now been made official.

12 months after Mozilla coming up with Firefox 2 and after 3 release candidates and 5 beta versions, the official and stable version of FireFox 3 is finally set for rollout, scheduled on June 17, 2008. There have been a lot of speculations in the blogosphere regarding the 4th release candidate of Mozilla Firefox but it seems Mozilla has finally managed to release the final version of Firefox 3.

Breaking a World Record might be hard only if you are not some one like Firefox. Few days back they had released RC 1 of FF3 for public testing. And now Firefox is ready to set a new world record for “the most software downloads in a day.”

Mozilla Foundation, from the open-source browser Firefox fame has released sneak-peek of prototype user interface (UI) for its upcoming mobile version and Mozilla developer and project lead Doug Turner is seeking feedback and suggestions to develop the final product.
