Six Apart, announced last week that it has launched a plugin that provides WordPress users with access to a suite of Six Apart’s add-on features for blogs. This means Wordpress user now just need to install a free plugin on their blog to access some of Typepad’s custom tools. The features are as follows:
We have featured updates and views on various publishing platforms online over a period of time. Publishing of course referring to the whole concept of setting up a content driven website. One such platform we have mentioned fleetingly yet is a big enough name in the world of content management online is Expression Engine. Though it doesn’t have the monstrous open source evangelism of Wordpress or Text Pattern, it has its share of loyal users and is a much admired CMS. This post aims to give a brief introduction to the content management system.
A good couple of months back, I had written about Movable Type’s latest blog script version and about how it can redefine digital publishing. This was so because MT had gone social with MT Pro and made the whole idea of community building simple for publishers. They have no gone a step ahead and launched in Beta – Motion, a microblogging and social application.
Much like the early part of this decade MT has come up with the direction for blogging platforms to move ahead. Yesterday the MT blog announced the launch of Movable Type 4.2 and Movable Type Pro. While ver. 4.2 claims to have cured MT’s chronic slowness and offers easier customization it the Pro that really means some serious business.
