Well if the latest TRAI (Telecom Regulatory Authority of India) data is anything to go by than the monthly mobile subscribers are more than double of the countries total broadband subscribers! Well if there was any doubt left that mobile might just be the medium to reach out to an ever growing audience as compared to the internet these numbers are sure to clear your doubts away!

Well India is soon going to take over the US numbers as far as mobile subscriber base is concerned. That would put India in no.2 position in the world by April according to TRAI which will be behind the mobile giant China which has 560 million subscribers which is more than double of what India [...]

I hope what i have read actually turns out to be the future for India. The government proposes to offer all citizens of India free, high-speed broadband connectivity by 2009, through the state-owned telecom service providers BSNL and MTNL.
