Hail the latest development deployed by the Google search team. While digging for some information on Adobe AIR using Google search (yes, WATBlog too relies on Google for searching), Ankit spotted a brand new feature. It seems Google has started to place cookies in the users’ computers to let them know if they had already visited a link from the search result, when it was last visited and also how many times was it visited.
Gone are the days when you visit YouTube and then keep wondering what to watch next. The homepage of Youtube has been completely revamped and now YouTube suggests you the videos you might like to watch, on the basis of the previous data and your viewing history.
“In addition,” reads Yahoo’s press release, “Yahoo and Google agreed to enable interoperability between their respective instant messaging services, bringing easier and broader communication to users.”
Nowadays, everyone is yelling “Social Media is the next BIG thing…“. Again, if you look at the social media, search is an important aspect in the process of Social Media optimization.
Now, when you talk about search, how can you forget Google! Recently, Dr. Vinton G. Cerf, “The Father Of The Internet” and VP, Chief Internet [...]
Saw a relatively sensational Title on LiveMint today – “Mapping Your Life”. Found it quite interesting but it basically spoke about the fact that the Indian Post is developing a directory that maps where you live, who you live with, how long you’ve been living there, what car you drive and your last five addresses.
“Mapping your [...]

David Glazer, director of engineering at Google, described Friend Connect as plumbing for the rest of the web. Website owners will be able to use the hosted application to allow interactions with visitors from social-networking sites such as Facebook and Orkut, by copying and pasting snippets of code into their site.
“The web is getting better by getting [...]
I use the GTalk client everyday to communicate with fellow WATBloggers and other friends and for a few days I’ve been noticing something very queer.
When I type within GTalk, I get links to other websites. I can’t click on those ads – they are static text. When I continue typing, my words gobble up [...]
Ohk.. You might think why are we blogging this so late?? When half the world’s bloggers have reported analysed and given their comments. We got this press release early yesterday and have still been trying to figure out what was so great in what they launched. Don’t mind our dumb outlook but our question is [...]
After Microsoft called an off for Yahoo deal, Google is acting fast to strengthen its bonding with Yahoo. Earlier we had blogged on Will Yahoo Announce Google Ad Deal? And it seems that very soon the deal will get closed.

One day after Microsoft formally walked out of the MS-Yahoo deal, ET reports Jerry Yang saying that they were ready to sell off Yahoo to Microsoft, but they withdrew the offer. Reportedly, Microsoft’s CEO Ballmer and his team were not ready to negotiate and withdrew the offer.
On Saturday morning I read WATBlog in Hindi. Funny part is all of us forgot to Blog it! Well, better late than never.
Previously Google enabled search and scraps in Hindi. They also have a tool on blogger, which enables bloggers to write in Hindi. That service is pretty solid and can be compared to counterparts such as Hindi Kalam and Quillpad.
