The ever so popular Fifa series is ready with another knock-out game in the series after a successful run with Fifa 08. The game has been announced for a October release and from the looks of its initial screens, the game looks to improve on its high benchmark. IGN previewed the game (lucky dogs), here is a brief from their initial impressions.

It seems the success of World of Warcraft is getting onto the nerves of some of the other pronounced game publishing companies. Now, it’s Electronic Arts (EA) planning to come up with a subscription based online gaming model. I also remember EA planning to come up with the subscription based model for its mobile version too. The question here is, how would they structure the revenue model?
Konami has gone ahead and announced the ever popular soccer sim, ProEvolution Soccer (PES) 2009 due for release this October. To rival that the dudes at EA have gone ahead and announced its nemesis, in the form of the eagerly anticipated successor to the technically brilliant and adept FIFA 08 which is to be released somewhere in October itself.
