Well if the DoT and the Government had stuck to its promise the above date of 7th December would have been the actual roll out date for 3G across all operators but (sigh!) promises are meant to be broken....

The 3G is finally set to arrive in India, BSNL, the telecom major is doing it’s initial rollout in Orissa. The 3G services would be first launched in Bhubaneswar and later in the district headquarters...
