UTV Interactive, the gaming division of UTV software has acquired a 80% stake in True Games Interactive, a gaming company based in California. True Games Interactive is known to focus on the Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game (MMORPG) model, which is fast becoming popular these days.

IPGA Limited which runs the iProperty.com group of property websites acquired Indian property major RealAcres (Horizon Infoventures) for a reported AUD 5 million (around 18.8 crores in Indian Rupees). The acquisition of RealAcres.com sees iProperty.com adds to its market-leading online property operations in Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Taiwan and the Philippines, and represents its latest in a string of acquisitions since its listing on 11 September 2007.

It seems as if Google wants to pay more attention to video annotations and enhance the overall experience for users on Youtube. On the YouTube blog, the company has announced that it has acquired Omnisio, a small California-based startup that’s focused on making online video more useful and collaborative.

According to this release Valuable Group, the owner of UFO Movies brand has acquired MovieBean, the wireless film rental service. Sanjay Gaikwad led Valuable Group will be taking over the assets, trademarks, IPR, of MovieBean. The size of the deal is not confirmed

Well this will possibly go down as the deal that changes the face of new media publisher market the world over. ContentNext Media the company which owns a network of new media blogs in Paidcontent.org, Moconews,.net Paidcontent.co.uk and also owns the India centric contentSutra.com has been reported to have been acquired for a huge 30 million $ by the British Newspaper and Media Group The Guardian.

Microsoft has now announced that it has bought the linguistic web search company Powerset for an undisclosed sum. Powerset is a web search company that is building a natural language search engine using semantic language software that reads and understands every sentence on the Web.

This is the third acquisition completed by OnMobile in the past three years. The earlier two being Voxmobili, a French data products company and ITfinity, another mobile data company. OnMobile Global shares rose by 1.56% to close at 646.55 after acquiring Voxmobili.
