Existing investor IDG Ventures and new investor IvyCap Venture have invested in mobile workforce software company FieldEZ, as per the latest report from The Economic Times. The amount of funding has not been disclosed. The Bangalore based start-up plans to utilize the raised funds in further expanding its operations to US and Southeast Asia.
FieldEZ provides an on-demand mobile based solution which allows companies to manage their field sales teams or service teams. It offers features like call management & scheduling, lead management, time & location reporting, driving directions to customer locations, integration to enterprise systems and the ability to keep track of travel bills & expenses among others.
The company was founded in 2011 by Balasubramanyam Mohan (CEO), Jinaraj P G (CTO) and Balamurugan S (COO). FieldEZ has developed software that enables field employees like engineers and sales persons to provide sales, marketing and customer service using their smartphones and low-end phones.The company says it supports all major mobile platforms like iOS, Android, Windows 8 and Java.
Furthermore, the company provides details to the management such as number of visits or daily orders and enables them to provide instant feedback to their field workers. Mohan said in the ET report that FieldEZ is well positioned to capitalise on a multi-billion dollar opportunity of serving a global mobile workforce set to reach 1.3 billion field workers across different industries by 2015.
