Yahoo Inc. a company that has been a lot in the news lately for its acquisition of companies, is now attempting to breathe a new life in its Brand Image with a redesign of its public and corporate logo.
Yahoo’s logo has essentially remained the same since its inception. It had always borne the exclamation mark at the end to convey the enthusiasm & euphoria associated with the word. Interestingly, the newly unveiled logo may not be the final chosen one.
Looking towards its visitors, Yahoo has been working since last year to come up with a logo that is appreciated by the masses. It conducted multiple online surveys across the world and asked people to rate the redesigned logos. And there were not one or two, but Yahoo has designed about 30 variations with the same word.
The modern logo is expected to subtly underline the renewed efforts of the company to regain its prominence in the digital world. Under the leadership of Marissa Mayer, Yahoo has been growing big, inorganically. Most recently, the company had acquired Rockmelt, a social browsing startup.

Yahoo is desperately trying to bring back the mass appeal it enjoyed in the early days of the internet. Reworking almost every aspect of the company, Yahoo may be ensuring it leaves no stone unturned. This intention could have manifested itself in the form of a logo redesign that is hoped to augment the renewed vigor of the company.
