Myntra Appoints Vikas Ahuja As CMO As It Looks Towards Strategic Expansion

Online lifestyle & apparel portal has chosen to hire Vikas Ahuja as its Chief Marketing Officer. Ahuja has been asked to take charge with immediate effect as he attempts to fortify the portal’s brand.


Ahuja’s involvement with Myntra is interesting especially because he appears to have spent majority of his career shaping up the brand relevance & structure of Nutrition & Wellness Company, Nestle. In his career spanning almost two decades, the marketing veteran has held multiple leadership roles & spearheaded Business Developments activities during his tenure as Country Business Manager.

Perhaps it is this role, spanning the entire nation, has what peaked the management’s interest within the persona. Coincidentally, Ahuja had worked at similar post at, where he was a part of the core management team & responsible for the startup’s overall marketing strategy, products and communication.

E-Commerce websites are an interesting & trying juncture in their development & life cycle. On one hand Indians are enthusiastically turning towards these online businesses to buy & avail multiple products & services. However, on the other hand, there is heavy competition that sometimes erodes the possibility of earning decent profits.
