Talenthouse India, a part of Reliance Entertainment Pvt. Ltd., has recently launched crowd-sourcing based tie-ups that allow Indians fans/artists to collaborate with two international music acts – David Guetta and Green Day.
For the uninitiated, Talenthouse is an international platform that allows emerging artists, aspiring performers, die-hard fans to work with leading artists and brands. Such collaborations via competitions allow really talented artists to showcase their work on a large platform and it also helps them grow their personal fan base organically.
Coming back to the latest tie-ups, David Guetta is calling all his Indian fans to design ‘botas picudas mexicanas’ (Mexican pointy boots) based on the lyrics of the final single from his recent album ‘Nothing But The Beat’. David will personally look into the entries and select the winner from the submissions. Apart from getting his/her work promoted, the winner stands to win a cash prize of $1000, a pair of the DG Beats Neon Mixer headphones, a collection of David’s exclusive Vinyl CD collection and also an EMI goodie bag. Entries will be accepted till June 3 for David Guetta, after which the voting will resume and will continue till July 16.
As far as the Green Day collaboration is concerned, individuals are invited to submit a music video the content of which is their interpretation of Green Day’s music. All the entries will be put to vote and the winner will get a Canon EOS 5D camera and his/her interview will be put up on Green Day’s website. The winning music video will be promoted on the website as well as on the social media pages of Green Day. Four runner-up entries will receive an ‘¡UNO!, ¡DOS!, and ¡TRE!’ box autographed by the band. Submissions close on June 5.
I think such collaborations/competitions are a great platform for individuals to showcase their talent, to reach out and connect with their favourite brands/artists and to promote their work. Don’t you think so too?
