Altria TCB Group Expand Its Operations To India Courtesy To Its Flagship Subsidiary, ‘The American Holiday’

A prominent player in global travel, with multiple operational web entities, the Altria TCB Group has decided to expand its operations in the Indian Sub-Continent. Using its flagship subsidiary, ‘The American Holiday’ (TAH), Altria is positive about getting the relevant traction & response.

The company claims to offer multiple single-window services to continents like Australia, Asia, Africa, North America and Europe. Interestingly, it is able to do so using a complex network of equally spread out travel associates. The Indian Online Travel Agent (OTA) segment is currently very vibrant with activity.

How does this company plan to thrive?

A member of renowned travel associations like PATA (Pacific Asia Travel Association) & ASTA (American Society of Travel Agents), TAH offers primary services that include destination management, outbound tourism, business travel, domestic holidays, & other corporate travel solutions. If that’s not all, it will soon spread its operations to offer special holiday packages like weekend breaks, luxury packages, honeymoon packages, adventure packages & so on.

If the company plans to succeed, it will have to compete with many rivals. However, since it is quite a strong contender in the premium overseas destinations, it could create a niche for itself. Additionally, the company have observed that the travel business in India runs on high amount of regional synergy. Accordingly, it has tied up with more than 200 travel aggregators across India.

With foreign players like Wego, Thomas Cook, SOTC, Expedia, trying hard to get a foothold, it will be interesting to see what new offers this company brings to the table.
