Having bid adieu to NetworkPlay barely 6 months ago, Rammohan Sundaram has launched his own company. Christened PlatformPlay Media Ventures Pvt Ltd, the venture will cater to international brands.
What’s the company’s primary agenda?
With majority stakes from SVG Media & extensive support from its Founder & CEO Manish Vij, PlatformPlay will assist foreign brands to establish a foot-print within India. Commonly referred to as ‘India Entry’, these overseas companies need a strong local support that can help them cover the basics of promotion, in a country like India.
Coincidentally, Manish will join the Board of PlatformPlay as SVG Media’s representative & quizzed about the latest investment had this to say,
“SVG Media has a clear focus on investing and acquiring digital assets and being the launch pad for successful digital media businesses. Having concluded our transaction with DGM last year, we invested in PrecisionMatch and launched Velocity as an audience based network within the group. We were sure of investing in PlatformPlay when we first heard about it from Ram. Ram’s skills, passion, commitment and energy are known to everyone in the industry. The fact that PlatformPlay will be led by Ram is enough to guarantee success”
While it is safe to say, SVG Media has a firm foot-hold within the India’s Digital Ad Space with multiple innovative platforms; Sundaram has extensive experience of working & supporting a large company like NetworkPlay. Been with NetworkPlay since its incubation, Sundaram had been instrumental in breaking new grounds as a digital advertising network company.
With India’s Digital Ad space expanding at very fast pace, agencies will have clients & extensive creative teams to back them up. However, given the unique proposition that PlatformPlay is offering, Sundaram has a great chance to steer his company via new & relatively unexplored channel. What do you think?
