Neville Taraporewalla, Sr. Director- Emerging Markets is part of the Leadership team at Microsoft India and provides strategic direction to the Advertising & Online business. His responsibility extends beyond India, including the markets of Malaysia, Thailand & Korea driving long term success and market growth of Microsoft’s digital products i.e.: Bing , Bing Mobile, MSN, MSN Mobile Skype, Skype Mobile, Outlook.com, X box & WIN8 AiA while evangelizing Microsoft digital online assets to marketers & consumers.

With over 24 years of experience, Neville has been an early adopter of the Internet and has seen the evolution of digital space since 1995. During his tenure with Yahoo! India as Country General Manager from 2002 – 2006, he was instrumental in reversing Yahoo India’s fortunes, and played a pivotal role in converting the India office into a profit center. In early 1996, he led The Times of India Group’s foray into the Internet space, where he was in charge of online, media sales, content production.
Prior to Microsoft, he was the Co-Founder & CEO of Publicitas Digital, a digital sales company he co-founded in India in 2007 where as CEO and Online Media Director for the Asia Pacific region he was responsible for the overall health of the online business in the region for Publicitas. During his tenure he has held several key Leadership roles at Times of India, Midday Multimedia ltd & Khaleej Times in the past.
Neville attained a Bachelor’s degree in Humanities from the University of Bombay, following which he pursued a program in “Strategic Brand Management” from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Calcutta & successfully completed the Global Advanced Management Program (GAMP) conducted jointly by Indian School of Business (ISB) & Kellogg’s Business School of Management. Neville has been the past Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Internet & Mobile Association of India in 2004 – 2005.
