eBay Places Ramkumar Narayanan At The Helm Of India Product Development Center

Online auction and shopping facilitator eBay Inc. has promoted its GM (eBay Marketplaces) Ramkumar Narayanan to lead innovation as GM at its India product development center. Located in the Tech City Bangalore, the development center is a permanent feature that is mainly responsible for churning out innovative features that help keep the company in the pole position of online e-commerce. Ramkumar Narayanan was earlier sourced from Yahoo where he led Product Strategy and Management.

Why the reshuffle?

eBay’s Bangalore based center has continually offered the company some of the best backend innovations the industry has seen. Despite working with multiple vendors, the world’s favorite auction site has successfully delivered countless commodities & merchandise with a close-looped system that drastically minimizes any sort of malpractice.

Narayanan has ample experience in cutting down the ‘Innovation To Deployment’ time thanks to his multiple stints at global heavyweights in the automotive business; Chrysler Corporation & later Ford Motor Company. As multiple e-commerce web-portals continue coming-up, it will be absolutely must for all of the players to bring out new features almost on a fortnightly basis. It will be Narayanan’s primary responsibility to ensure the Development Center is functioning at peak & delivering its projects with precision & poise.

Interestingly, Narayanan had moved from Yahoo to eBay only a month back & had to immediately face a reshuffle. Guess he must have displayed his flare early on. What do you think?
