How does it Work? Restaurants, shops or small service providers have been catering to customers who visit them regularly. However, these customers usually do not get rewarded. In order to enhance traction & loyalty of the customers, the application titled Clubd has been launched for Google’s Android OS based smartphones.
Check out the following video:
A simple to print QR Code is enough for the store to let the customer know he or she could enjoy discounts for the regular visits. Without having to keep track of loyalty points or carry around discount cards or coupons, the phone simply needs to interface with the QR Code. Upon synchronizing with the QR Code, the customer will be entitled to a discount based on the frequency of the visits to the store. Evidently, more the number of visits, higher will be the discount.
What’s in for the Participating Stores? Companies always rely on their long-term customers for a steady stream of reliable revenue. These stores can easily enhance the number of customers if they offer a reward for the loyalty.
Currently actively in the Bangalore area, the company plans to test the effectiveness before going national. The team already boasts of having tied-up with more than 100 merchants including many MNC fast-food restaurants. While all this sounds great, we at WATBlog feel, the company could easily incorporate geo-location based services which can let the customer find nearest participating merchant. Additionally, it could also have a social recommendation engine.
This could greatly enhance the traction. What more can our readers suggest for such a simple yet promising idea?
