Twitter announced today on its official blog that it has redesigned its iPad app from the ground up. The new app is said to be simple, elegant and fast. The app focuses more on visuals and this has been one area where Twitter has focused more in terms of mobile – To make the service more beautiful and easier to use.

The new app still has the concepts of Home, Connect, Discover and Me. What has changed is the user interaction. You can expand tweets with a single touch and also play videos and read links in fullscreen mode.
The social network has also added a new profile display which is similar to Facebook and Google+ cover photos. This feature has been pushed to all its iOS and Android apps as well as the website. The profile picture will appear on your homescreen above your tweets. I haven’t got the updates yet but I guess I will be receiving them soon.

The design looks very nice but I will reserve my judgement till I use it.
Have you got the new update yet? Tell us how you like it.
