Valyoo Technologies wins The Red Herring Top 100 Asia Award 2012

Valyoo Technologies has many things that are going for it. The operator of niche ecommerce websites like Lenskart, Watchkart, Bagskart and Jewelskart has won the Red Herring Top 100 Asia Award for 2012. The company also recently announced that they had brought on Manoj Sharma, ex-Director of Engineering at Zynga India as CTO.

The Red Herring Award is given to 100 startups in Asia which have a good track record of innovation and growth across their respective segments. WATConsult (sibling to WATBlog) won the same award last year.

Peyush Bansal, Founder & CEO, Valyoo Technologies said,

“We are extremely glad to receive this great honour that acknowledges successful technological innovation and product development strategies implemented by Valyoo Technologies. This is merely a beginning of our success. 2012 will see Valyoo Technologies to introduce even more eye-grabbing advancements in the platform and development of our product line that will drive incredible engagement from users, like never before.”

Alex Vieux, publisher and CEO of Red Herring said this year’s judging was very competitive.

“Choosing the companies with the strongest potential was by no means a small feat. After rigorous contemplation and discussion, we narrowed our list down from hundreds of candidates from across Asia to the Top 100 Winners. We believe Valyoo technologies embodies the vision, drive and innovation that define a successful entrepreneurial venture. Valyoo technologies should be proud of its accomplishment, as the competition was the strongest it has ever been.”

This award is an honor for Indian companies since previous Red Herring winners have been Twitter, Google, Skype, Yahoo, Skype, Salesforce.com, Youtube and eBay.
