These days, there is a social network for everything and we do mean everything! EFactor is a US based Social Network for Entrepreneurs which provides budding and seasoned entrepreneurs to interact with each other and helps the exchange of potentially successful ideas. EFactor has announced that it is all set to step foot in India this summer.
The portal was founded by serial entrepreneur Andrie Reinders along with Marion Freijsen and Roeland Reinders in 2008. The company is based in San Francisco. Their Indian operations will be launching next month. They are still putting together an Indian team but they managed to rope in Nitesh Chandra as the Country Manager of the service.
EFactor is effectively a platform for budding entrepreneurs to get in touch with experts for guidance and secure funding in addition to the exchange of ideas. For India, they are planning a series of online and offline activities to kickstart their service. These activities are meant for local entrepreneurs to gain access to larger and a more seasoned network of global entrepreneurs, advisors, clients and VCs with goal of profiting from this exchange.
Nitesh Chandra spoke of the forthcoming Indian launch of EFactor saying, “Our focus will be on entrepreneurs, small and medium sized businesses and start ups that we can guide for setting up and strengthening their business. We aim to provide India-specific solutions.”
We think that it is a good idea for the Indian Start-up ecosystem.
We are sure that there is already some informal network where entrepreneurs meet and exchange ideas with each other, but this is a very structured service which makes it easy for entrepreneurs as it takes them one step further towards building their ideas into successful business.
