Online ad network Ozone Media has announced that it will offer Facebook ad inventory to its clients. It is the second Indian network after Komli Media to do so.
Sanjay Vasudeva, senior vice-president, sales, Ozone Media, told afaqs!, “We help advertisers engage with audiences across all digital touch points including social media, internet and mobile. With Facebook, our media offering becomes much stronger. Interactive and well-targeted, our expectations from the medium (Facebook) are very high, considering the depth and reach that it will bring to our customers.”
Ozone media is a major online ad network in India. It sells ad inventory to many high profile brands. Its clientele includes HSBC, Yahoo!, Dell, Lenovo, Cleartrip, Britannia, Virgin Mobile, Zapak, Makemytrip, Citibank and few others. It recently acquired the account of PolicyBazaar for online advertising. The company has a large number of network websites that it partners in a revenue sharing model.
Facebook ads are awarded after a competitive bidding process. The ads, which appear on the right hand side bar of a Facebook page are called ‘Sponsored Stories’. But Facebook has recently also introduced ‘Feature Stories’ which appear in the news feed of a user.
Facebook recently filed for an IPO, which showed that it earned $3.71 billion in ad revenues last year. Facebook has more than 800 million users with huge data trove about their personal lives. After the listing, it may be forced to capitalize on this data by offering more ads.
