Jump Games, the game development company owned by the Digital arm of Reliance Entertainment has a new Business Head for its India operations. We covered Jump Games’ super successful international iPad gaming app, Real Steel, last week. Chaitanya Prabhu has been appointed as the new Business Head of the company. He has replaced Rajneel Kumar who is now with Viacom 18 Media as its Digital Head.
Chaitanya has over 13 years of experience out of which 7 years have been spent in the Digital Arena. He was previously in charge of Developer Relations at Nokia. He has also spent time in myriad roles at Nokia in Market Development and Music Management at OVI.
He spoke about his new appointment saying, “Looking at how content owners play a key part in the success of the mobile ecosystems, I was very excited when I got an opportunity to head the India business at Jump Games. I did foresee a big opportunity for Jump games to be an integral part of the content and developer ecosystems and work with them to create exciting monetization models around gaming”.
Whether he will be able to provide Jump Games with the needed mileage, needs to be seen.
