Domino’s Pizza Seeks More ‘Likes’

In the year 2006, we blogged about Domino’s India going online with it’s marketing strategy introducing its new menu tabs, advertising tab. Recently Jubilant FoodWorks, the Domino’s Pizza franchisee in India have announced that now pizzas lovers can now place their order online as the platform is integrated with Facebook and Yahoo.

These social media networks will allow customers to use their own login for registering on the site. This service will allow customers to pay by cash on delivery or via credit card, debit card, net banking or mobile cash card.

One of the world’s largest food retailer McDonald has also stepped in online business by introducing web based ordering. At that time we were spectacle whether the online payment system can work its charm since Paypal was banned to order food. But with the introduction of m-wallet it can be assumed that online food ordering can be successful in coming years.

Lately, there are numerous food portals that sells tomatoes, dhaba’s, table bookingrestaurants, popping up every now and then and with the rapid popularity of m-commerce and e-commerce maybe online food ordering really pickup.

Will you order for meals online rather than going out? Tell us
