CII Brings Conference On Digital Media To Mumbai – July 30th, 2010

The Marketing & Entertainment (M&E) industry has been completely transformed thanks to the digital revolution that has taken over the country. First it was the television industry that decided to go online, and recently, Bollywood went mobile. With the M&E industry touted to grow by 13% in the next five years, it must be looking to go digital at a larger scale in order to achieve that growth. Unfortunately, many are still new to the digital world and need assistance to utilize the full potential of the digital media. This is exactly the reason why the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) has organized a conference called “The Digital Revolution: Managing Media & Entertainment Business in Digital Era”.

This conference will have speakers who are leaders and experts in the media and entertainment industry who will be discussing the current digital revolution, and also what other up-coming digital technologies will play an important factor in connecting to users, all the while cutting costs.

However, this is not the only event that will be helpful to the M&E industry. Indiatimes.com has launched a major campaign, which though aimed at SMEs, promises to give information on the importance of online communication with the users. Apart from this, WATConsult is also planning a one-day workshop which will aim to give more information on the social media, and how to utilize it to the fullest.

All these initiatives will definitely help the M&E industry understand the importance of the digital revolution. Maybe one day such conferences/workshops will be online, which would just put a stamp on the reason for these events.
