I think the first exams that all students in India take very seriously is their 10th grade exams or SSC board exams (There are other boards like CBSE and ICSE as well). So the tension and the need to know the results is quite high.
Rediff seems to be focussing on the youth through the exam route. It also seems to be clubbing the new product that they have on board i.e. Rediff pages and information dissemination like the SSC or 10th Grade results. Rediff has launched an easy way for students to check their results online. The same can be done on rediff.com/exams.
But Rediff isn’t the only one offering this service. Students can also check the same on:
The results can also be checked via sms through:
All in all such services do drive usage but in the short term. Not sure if Rediff can build sustained user base on this value proposition for Rediff pages.
