Inmobi Expands To US Markets


InMobi a mobile advertising company which was earlier called MKhoj has made a big geographical leap. It has expanded its scope of services to cater to the US market.  InMobi already garners 2 billion US ad impressions monthly since its soft launch in January 2010. This puts Inmobi in direct competition with Google acquired company Admob which acquisition was recently completed by Google. Previous to this Inmobi’s earlier geographical expansion thailand through a tie up with Hi5.

We have blogged about how the combination of Web + Mobile could be the big opportunity in India atleast and given the growth Inmobi has seen in Asian markets this seems to be coming true. Their US foray would be interesting as they start to look at advanced handsets like the iPhone and Android phones. Even Apple is getting into the fray of mobile ads with iAds in July so it remains to be seen as to how the mobile advertising market pans out for Inmobi in the west.

Currently Inmobi reaches mobile consumers in 108 countries and services clients like Reebok, Quaker Oats, Microsoft, Sony Ericsson and Nokia.
