ICC ties up with KyaZoonga.com to manage online sales of ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 tickets

The sale of tickets has been divided into 2 phases where the first phase will be conducted online. This phase has commenced on 1st June on ICC’s official website www.iccevents.yahoo.com. Such advanced sale of tickets is being conducted for the first time for the tournament.

• The sale has been launched to 13 venues across India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka 9 months in advance.
• Tickets booked online can be couriered or picked up at the retail outlets that will be formed later
• Tickets will be available by team, venue or schedule. Moreover there are interesting packages such as “Follow your Team”, “Love your City” or “Be a Great Host” that allow theme based booking.
• View from the Stand, a unique app will allow customers to virtually view the ground from the seats they will book.
• Updates will be automatically posted to users’ facebook and twitter profiles after purchase of tickets.
The advantage of online sales is that it can reach out to many more customers who previously did not have easy access to tickets due to logistical reasons.
IMImobile ties up with IndiavisionTV to provide live news to Idea users
