Its the financial results season and online and mobile companies seem to be reporting their quarterly and yearly results for year ended 09-10. Here are 3 such results that were recently reported.
Infoedge Results State That Growth Is Back!
- After three quarters of negative and flat growth Infoedge (Naukri) saw a rise in total Income in Q4 of FY09-10 at Rs 717.37 mn, an increase of 11.8% over the corresponding quarter in FY08-09.
- Operating EBITDA increased by 19.5% at Rs 215.81 million over the corresponding quarter in FY2008-09
- EBITDA is at Rs 280.6 mn compared to Rs 245.15 mn being 14.46% increase over corresponding quarter in FY 08-09
- PAT at Rs 132.23 mn decreased by 4.23% over the corresponding quarter in FY2008-09.
All in all a better quarter than the last three that Infoedge has had. One of the things that may worry some investors would be the fact that Infoedge still heavily relies on Naukri and its other investments like Jeevansaathi and 99acres continue to be loss making or in investment mode since some time.
Idea Cellular Reports Profitable Quarter & Year
Idea Cellular reported a rise of 4.5% in net profit for Q4 to Rs 266.6 crore from Rs 254.9 crore last year. Even Total income saw a rise in 15.5% to Rs 3,399.7 crore from Rs 2,942.4 crore last year.
The telecom scene has gotten even more aggressive this year with many new operators joining the fray and the per second billing pulling telecom rates to an all time low. Idea has been innovative with both its plans and its advertising as well. We spoke to Pradeep Shrivastava CMO Idea cellular recently on their various inititiaves.
Onmobile reports Increase In Sales But Decline In Net Profit
OnMobile the mobile vas company has reported an increase in net sales by 6% to Rs 944 million while an increase of 56% on profit was reported compared to last year. But a 10% decline in net profit was seen at Rs 84 million.
