Yahoo! has decided to go the old way of promoting itself via outdoor advertising. It recently installed 12-meter-long, larger than life 3D Yahoo! icon made out of ACP (aluminium composite panel) just near to the Bengaluru International Airport. The icon is not just a piece of metal, a simulation software was used to forecast the effect of factors such as wind and soil pressure and weight of the structure on the icon. This was followed by chalking out the nitty-gritty of the fabrication, right from civil work to final finishing and illumination for the structure as reported here.

Yesterday we told you about IPL displaying Youtube On Billboards & Trains. This clearly outlines one fact: whatever may come – outdoor media is here to stay for long. And in countries like our’s where Internet penetration is still not much, Outdoor media is again the best way to publicize products and do new campaigns.
