After PagalGuy & MingleBox – ItzCard Too Ventures Into Online College Applications

Just yesterday we told you about Minglebox Launching an MBA Colleges Application Platform somewhat similar to a product that Pagalguy already has. And now ItzCash – a multipurpose prepaid cash card has launched a similar service for online application form filling of colleges based in Delhi which include Shri Ram College of Commerce, Hindu College , Sri Venketeshwara College , Hansraj College, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University among others.

ItzCash has tied-up with Admissionhelp to for this purpose. To apply for an institute, one has to log on to the portal  and fill in the necessary personal details like name, date-of-birth, address, etc., choose the relevant institute, select a course and select the application forms to make payment using ItzCash Cards. Students can get ItzCash cards from over 800 franchisees for the purpose. According to Naveen Surya, Managing Director, ItzCash Card – this method will definitely help students to get rid of the chaotic and stressful process of college applications by simply applying online.

So is Online Admission Form filling the next big business – Given the fact that there are not many providers yet for this service and also many colleges have their own provisions for Online applications. Although this is a good help to students, but some issues are involved with this again. This system is good as long as they do not make it an online store where colleges get earmarked as recommended and best like in online shopping websites :P Well, social rankings and comments might help the candidates in knowing about a college properly.

Studyplaces.com is also in this business, Looks like centralizing the application processing is the next big thing in Indian Educational Website scenario. Looks a potential market but we will have to wait and watch as how many courses/coleges get the benefit from this kind of systems.
