July Systems the company that has been powering mobile sites for several offline and online media players has raised a series C round of funding of $ 7 Million. This round is lead by Intel Capital.
Along with the funding announcement they have also announced the roping in of new clients like ESPN Cricinfo, Univision and Discovery Networks whose mobile websites they would be powering.
July Systems had earlier raised rounds of funding from Sequioa and Footprint Ventures.
July Systems intends to use the funds to extend leadership position in the North American and Asia Pacific region, deepen R&D investment in the company’s Mi™ platform, including its cross-platform publishing across mobile web and native applications, rich media advertising technologies, real-time interactive video and micro-payment management systems.
July system also plans to create an ecosystem of publishers, advertisers and distribution channels.
