SinglePoint buys SMS/Mobile advertising platform – M2Junction
It’s really a big time for Hyderabad-based SMS/Mobile advertising platform – M2Junction which was recently acquired by a Seattle (US)-based mobile messaging company SinglePoint for an undisclosed sum. With this merger of M2Junction, SinglePoint now plans to launch their web-based admarketplace platform in India.
On account of over nearly 10 billion SMS messages being sent per month in India under various categories and with nearly half-a-billion indian mobile users, this new transactional platform can be used for delivering contextual mobile advertising ranging from pure brand messages to interactive options such as click to open a link to Internet, click to call and click to coupon, among others.
mChek First to be Certified in Western Union Mobile Vendor Program
mChek is a leading provider of Mobile Money Solutions and is currently operating in India with Bharti Airtel, Tata Indicom and Tata Docomo, and in Sri Lanka with Dialog Telekom. mChek announced that it is the first to be certified by Western Union as a Mobile Money Transfer Vendor. Western Union® Mobile Money Transfer service mainly aims at reducing integration costs and accelerating go-to-market activities for banks and mobile operators by creating standard technical deployments.
With this certification, Mobile Network Operators all around the globe can use the mChek platform in association with Western Union to offer mobile money transfer services. This association with Western Union will indirectly help mChek to expand their operations as Western Union has a global agent network of more than 350,000 locations in over 200 countries and territories.
