According to an interesting report, Facebook and Twitter (after telecom major, Vodafone) have been the buzziest brands in India. Lately, a lot of activity has been spotted on Facebook and Twitter from Indian Users. The global count of registered users on Facebook stands at 400 million approx and out of which 6 million is from India itself. Coming to the world of tweets – Twitter has grown so dramatically in the last 12 months that even debates on Live News TV shows use twitter to throw light on views of various Internet users about any particular issue. Although, the number of Indian users is not much considering the global presence of Twitter, still it has created waves almost everywhere.
Google has been in the news too with it’s Nexus One. Apart from this Google also showcased it’s desperateness to beat twitter and waves to blow away Facebook. But neither of them have been a huge success till now. But that does not mean Google has lost it in the brand wars. Facebook and Twitter may have been the buzziest brands in India this year, but the search giant, Google kicked Coca-Cola out to became the second-most valued brand among the Top 500, Globally (according to ranking stats). Well, this definitely is an achievement considering the fact that many IT majors were hit badly during the recession, whereas value-for-money brands including Walmart & Coca Cola have done exceptionally well.
