Few months ago, TradeIndia has launched a separate Chinese section for Indian suppliers to bridge the gap between Indian and Chinese SMEs. Now, Alibaba has announced to launch a customized content portal for Indian suppliers, buyers and traders.
Currently, Alibaba has one million Indian users and to serve those users, Alibaba is developing a new content portal.
• Caters the local needs and culture
• Indian Alibaba users will get mailers on director market material and other mailers customized for India
• Payment gateway will also integrate.
Alibaba is still struggling for its survival in Indian SME market. They are doing JVs and investing huge amount on product development. This new content portal will also be a part of its development process. Portal will be launched in March 2010.
