Info Edge has announced a sequential 6.8 % revenue increase in its quarterly results at Rs. 58.87 Crores against 55.18 Crores.Net profits has also seen a similar jump at Rs. 15.64 crores Vs Rs.14.73 Crores reported in last quarter.
The numbers look encouraging on sequential basis but is down by a little margin on Y-o-Y basis.Info Edge reported revenues of Rs. 58.92 Crores and net profits of Rs. 17.21 Crores in a year ago period.
It is not feasible to compare numbers with a year ago period as the whole online sector went into a tail spin following economic turmoil but Info Edge seem to have shown much more stability than other online conglomerates.

According to Ambarish Raghuvanshi, CFO and Director, Info Edge (India) Limited said, “ The environment continues to improve which should lead to top line and bottom line expansion in subsequent quarters.”
Info Edge has also reported that other online verticals leaving naukri and Quadrangle (including 99acres.com, Jeevansathi.com) incurred a EBITDA loss of 38.12 mn as compared to 49.44 mn for the same quarter last year. 99 acres is still suffering losses whereas Jeevansathi.com and Shiksha.com has achieved a growth in Revenues at 13.6% and 92% respectively.
Individual Properties:
Naukri now has more than 20 million resume compared to 17 million in a year ago period. 25 per cent of naukri.com revenues come from IT & ITeS sector while another 25 % from infrastructure sector. The BFSI sector contributes only 5 % of naukri’s revenues . The recent introduction of premium job section was a smart move to attract financial institutions to its recruitment portal.
Jeevansathi has 3.5 million profiles with active paid quarterly subscriber base of just 23132 subscribers. The net realization was seen at Rs.2095. Brijj,a Business networking portal from Info Edge currently has 2.7 million profiles registering an impressive growth of 50% in just a year.
