All the buzz on the web about Indian Premier League (IPL) 3.0 being broadcasted live on YouTube could not help HP turn it’s face away from the IPL . HP has now become the first company to bag a sponsorship deal with YouTube (Parent – Google) for the upcoming IPL 3.0. We have previously told you about the 2 Year Deal that YouTube has signed up with IPL to stream live matches. One thing is for sure, you are going to spot a lot of HP computer devices in the upcoming IPL 3.
According to a news report HP can benefit a lot from the YouTube-IPL-HP deal as this deal would offer brands a chance to reach a specific kind of audience like younger males and take advantage of the specific kind of communication that the YouTube – Live Telecast is going to offer. Google is looking at 10 commercial partners for the Live Telecast and talks are on for involving companies from several sectors including telecom, auto, education, IT and financial services.
So what can we as customers expect from the deal?
There are many aspects to this HP-YouTube deal which may benefit the ones purchasing new products from HP. Some of the possibilities are promotional offers from HP which promise tickets to IPL matches on purchase of HP products which will obviously increase sales and others include goodies and freebies. HP computers purchased under such offers may also have desktop shortcuts to websites of YouTube, IPL, Match Fixtures and more.
