We have earlier told you about the web based language translation tool from Google for Indian Languages. The problem with all web based tools are generic – you can not use them when you are not connected to the internet and are not integrated with the applications that are already installed on your desktop. But with this newly launched Google Transliteration IME (Input Method Editor) you can type into various areas of the installed OS in your regional language.
The Google Transliterate IME lets you type or communicate in your preferred language both online and offline and in any installed application. As you type into the IME, a suggestion menu is displayed with alternatives of the word and proper completions. For example, when you type “bhaar”, you can see various suggestions as shown in this screenshot below:
The tool is currently available in 14 different languages – Arabic, Bengali, Farsi (Persian), Greek, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Nepali, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu and currently supports 32-bit Windows 7/Vista/XP.

The title is misleading.
The google product being referred to by the author is TRANSLITERATION AND NOT TRANSALTION.
Mind you, google also oferes translation but that is another product and is only in Hindi and not in any other indian language
Thanks. The error is corrected.
