Vdopia the video ad network which was last in the news for its live streaming success story in relation to its live streaming monetization contract with Cricketnirvana has now announced a new product on the same.
Vdopia has launched VLIVE which is a Dynamic Online Live Streaming Ad Insertion Technology Platform that will enable Media Companies & TV Channel owners to monetize their live feed online. Vdopia is currently working with cricket nirvana on their live stream monetization and this new technology allows the ad display to be dynamic as well.
Chhavi Upadhyay, cofounder, Chief Operating Officer of VDOPIA explains “VLIVE platform enables the video ads to be inserted in the Live Video Stream in the same way video ads are inserted on LIVE TV. The big change is that the ads are not static (Like in TV Broadcast) but are dynamic. This means that if one million users are consuming the content LIVE, the technology is able to serve different advertisements to different users at the same time. For example:- if the content is available in India and US or Delhi & Maharashtra then different ads can be served at these locations at the same time. The ads are interactive thus giving advertisers’ huge power to not only just achieve branding goals but also measure the user response.”
The Web Is Going Live
One of the upcoming trends Im seeing is the new obsession of the internet to go realtime or live. The Times Audience Network launched live.indiatimes.com recently catering to live video streaming of content. Google too included live updates via twitter and blogs in its search results. It seems like the entire web is gunning for real time and live content. So this new technology for monetizing the same couldn’t have been launched at a better time. Though I do believe that many players like Times Audience network and others would also look at launching their own monetization plans in the future.
