Online and mobile video service NyooTV.com is in news lately for their latest television maneuver. They sign a contract deal with NDTV Imagine recently to get content from the latter on their social TV network. This is not the first time we have covered about a content sharing deal especially by online TV networks to increase their viewership.
At WATBlog we have already seen the age of internet revolution starting with file sharing which has now come to a stage called sharing credibility and each other’s popularity for success. Star India focused on building an online viewership also launched their own channel on YouTube.
But when you come to think of it, NyooTV is comparatively a weaker platform and NDTV Imagine also can expect reasonable online viewership that raises the bar for them. Past and current shows like Bandini, Basera, Ramayan, Main teri Parchhai hoon, and Kitani Mohabbat hai will be showcased on NyooTV for their Indian and US audience.
Ms. Supriya Bambawale, Vice President, Business Development, AKG Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. said, “NyooTV aims to provide, world’s premium video content like TV shows, full length movies, Bollywood news, events and sports events of interest to Indian consumers, whenever and wherever they want it.”
The content sharing model also creates a great amount of advertising opportunities as NyooTV hasn’t been in the business for too long. AKG Technologies launched it earlier this month calling it as a ‘one-stop shop for premium visual entertainment.’
