P2P Joint Venture – mTouche and VASSoft.net Form mBit Infotech – Will It Redefine MVAS?
Mobile VAS has been on a crusade in the recent past, and so be it. Mobile operators are loving it. Moreover various entities are set up with the idea to comprehend the growth in the mobile subscriptions in India. Lately in news, mTouche Technology found their peer-to-peer (P2P) mobile content platform, mBit Infotech Pvt. Ltd. This will be launched with various Indian service providers in the form of mBit Infotech.
Basically, mBit Infotech is a joint venture between mTouche and another technology firm, VASSoft.net. Himenviro Environmental Technologies owns the latter. While their joint venture partnership will witness an investment of upto US$1 million in the initial phase in order to roll out the mBit P2P mobile content pan India.
“VASSoft.net and mTouche joining hands and forming mBit Infotech combines the financial strength and VAS expertise and a fresh outlook to serve Indian market with unique P2P cum file share application and many more to come later on. The JV is strategically placed to benefit the Indian and Asian market as a whole”, said Mr. Raghavendra Aggarwala, CEO, mBit Infotech.
With growth in the mobile subscriber base from about 150 million to 450 million, this new initiative seems pretty crude at the moment. But for now, mBit looks for the opportunity that the Indian market provides for the VAS players.
