Proto.in Opens Nominations For Startups

Proto.in the premiere startup event has opened nominations of the 7th edition which is to be held in January in Mumbai. Proto has had 6 editions previously across cities like Chennai, Delhi, Bangalore and Pune. This is the first time the event would be held in Mumbai. In mumbai Proto.in would be hosted in IIT Bombay campus.

Startups can nominate themselves at http://nominate.proto.in/ .

Proto provides a good platform to startups to showcase their products and technology and to attract the mindshare of future employees, partners and Venture investors. I can vouch for this as I have been personally involved with the organising of Proto.in since its 1st edition.

In addition to the open to all public showcase this year Proto.in would also be introducing an ‘Angel Investor Pitch’. This gives start-ups an opportunity to pitch their business plan to Angel Investors in a closed door meeting – where they can talk financials, talk projections and even walk out with funding if the angels are convinced.
