As per this partnership the entire video library of premium content across TimesNow, ETNow and ZoomTV would be available for consumption for mobile users in India. This has been made possible via Vuclip’s proprietary real-time transcoding mobile video platform.

One can access Times Now, ET Now and Zoom  on www.v.timesnow.tv; www.v.etnow.tv and www.v.zoomtv.in respectively.  Mobile video for other TAN partners, including Balaji, iStream, Lehren, Desimad, Desihits, amongst others, can be found on www.official.vuclip.com.

Recently Vuclip also raised a series B round of funding of 6 million $ from Jafco Ventures and NEA. Currently Vuclip’s cloud-based, real-time transcoding service delivers more than one million mobile videos every day to mobile users on more than 3,000 unique mobile handsets in 150 countries around the world, including India, China and the United States. The last we heard about Vuclip’s partnerships in India was when it tied up with Inmobi (Previously Mkhoj) to power the ads on its platform.

This tie up is important for Times Audience Network which has a good reach on the online platform and this is their way to gear up for 3G by being available on the mobile platform.
