Moko.mobi hereby gets going with their first collaboration with an Indian Telecom operator imparting their youth-centric content via mobile all across the globe. They enable users to chat as well as share pictures and videos. Most of the operators create such VAS opportunities keeping in mind the hunger for internet among users. But will this impact the digital commerce, remains to be seen.

3G around the corner would not affect any of this as the only singular difference between 2G and 3G is video calling, which the Pundits so far have almost ruled out from profit making features. The penetration of digital payments among users will still take long, while to strengthen their presence exposure of popular VAS is essential.

With rural mobile market increasing, there is a huge market for mobile VAS, especially internet-based. The rise in numbers in the hinterland is a clear indication of  the reach of technology even in the remote areas  and how rural people are accepting it. Although tough to generalise such services in a saturated urban market, there is still a ray of hope, 3G!
