2 Days To Go For TEDIndia, WATBlog shall be ready!
With less than 3 days left for India’s first ever TED conference, the excitement for the event is at an all time high. We had earlier covered TEDIndia here and then listing all the speakers and performances at the conference. The conference has been receiving an overwhelming response from attendees, speakers, fellows and sponsors. The TED Conference has also sparked considerable interest amongst a lot of people in various cities all over India to have their own TED conferences under the TEDx banner.

And to emphasize on the E in TED, there are musical performances by Anil Srinivasan and Sikkil Gurucharan, Usha Uthup and Mukul Deora, dance performances by Longinus Fernandes and Sidi Goma, as well as comedy from Dan Nainan.

Sherpalo Ventures and Google.org has also enabled 99 TEDIndia Fellows to the conference – which (according to a press release by TED) is the largest number of Fellows ever for TED.
The press release also quotes Chris Anderson, TED curator and host “I am impressed with the diversity and the incredible stories that the speakers and attendees are bringing to TEDIndia. The response to TED in India has surpassed our expectations. A major step in trying to make TEDTalks and ideas accessible to a wider audience was our Open Translation Project, which we launched with the help of our partner Nokia in May this year. It has been extremely successful with the Indian audiences. Since TEDTalks are now available in several Indian languages, there has been a great upsurge in viewership from India on www.ted.com.”
Lakshmi Pratury, the co-host of TEDIndia, also believes that the conference will be a huge success and exciting to watch due to the sheer diversity of the participants.
WATBlog is going to be present at TED and would bring to you the talks regarding Web, Advertising and Technology from the conference.
