Komli Ties Up With Artivision – To Work With Ogilvy On Online Video Monetization
Komli Media an ad network which has constantly been in the news for various tie ups and initiatives. Recently we had covered its foray into video advertising. Komli has now partnered with Artivision to introduce advertising solutions for online video content publishers in the Indian market.
One of the first clients for this alliance would be Neo@Ogilvy & OgilvyOne which would set up India’s first online video creation facility and work closely with the Komli – Artivision to maximise the potential of online video for its clients.
Komli Media use Artivision’s Target-Ad™ technology in India for placement of advertisements in all types of online video content.
There are a couple of big video ad networks in India in jivox and vdopia and both of whom are backed by funding from Venture capitalists. Infact vdopia recently confirmed its funding of 4 million $ from Nexus India Partners which we had reported way back in december.
Komli’s entry into the video inventory monetization space points at the growth and opportunity this space provides. Another important point to note is the alliance strategy by komli rather that developing its own technology which points towards the fact that Komli wants to focus on advertiser acquisition and not build technology and invest millions of dollars in the same,
Another important factor about this deal is the involvement of Neo@Ogilvy which surely has access to a large spectrum of advertisers via the Ogilvy network who would be interested in video advertising.
Prasanth Mohanachandran, Executive Director – Digital Services, Neo@Ogilvy & OgilvyOne says “Re-purposing TVCs for the web is archaic and we look at using Artivision’s technology to make digital video more engaging and interactive.”
All in all this alliance does look like the perfect mix of technology, domain expertise and advertiser reach but as they say sometimes too many cooks spoil the broth. Hope thats not the case with this deal.

why do u think Neo@O and Og1 has to make a tie up with komli which in turn was tied up with artimedia..
What wud have stopped Neo to approach Arti directly or vice versa?
