India Vs. Aus ODI Series Tickets Available At KyaZoonga – How Big Is Ticketing Today?

The India vs. Australia One Day International Series is off to a fantabulous start. With body language of both the teams looking industrious, they definitely mean some serious business out here. After the first ODI victory, Indians can feel the heat of the tournament and are banking on the tickets to watch the games Live from the stadium. However, if you’ve been out there in the queues to book your North End ticket, it’s apparently the most annoying thing before you get to watch your favourite superstars in action.

Of course it ought to be a tiring task, when the whole country is pumped-up to witness a historical tournament between the arch rivals. And, when it comes to India, cricket becomes a religion! is one of those watchdogs that seems to be keeping an eagle-eyed watch on the latest and the most popular events happening in the country. Be it a cricket series or an in vogue Bollywood flick. Sales for one of the India vs. Australia ODIs have been out for grabs online, courtesy KyaZoonga.

At WATBlog we’ve seen many such companies dealing with ticketing mostly entertainment events. Travel comes next, which is a proclaimed stream of business today. MakeMyTrip which has 40% of it’s business in air travel is planning to grow it’s non-air business to 80% in next three years. They have affected the smaller standalone players in the market like and the recent but it might not affect much of the holiday package players in general. is another such player that provides an option to book tickets for various events around the country, with a guide to users that is an additional piece of information. Coming back to KyaZoonga, it is a similar platform like BuzzinTown, but claims to be the first movie, cricket, entertainment and sports ticketing company. They’ve been selling tickets for IPL, CommonWealth Games and the other cricket matches so far. “We sold only high-value tickets and 25% of the ticket proceeds came from our channel,” says Neetu Bhatia, Chairman and CEO of KyaZoonga.

Earlier they tied-up with Fox Star Studios for selling the tickets of their movie Quick Gun Murugun. Being the official ticketing Partner, they could distribute authentic copyrighted content of this much-awaited film to its customers and other users. They also associated with Sunil Gavaskar once to get the Little Master’s candid comments, insightful articles and incisive analysis to their online fraternity. Online ticketing is something which a website cannot do by itself. They either have to be tied-up with the event organisers or another non-online ticketing agent. This makes their life a lot simpler as the users from all direction keen to attend an event get to know the site and their regular activities.

This seems more like a PR plug than an objective article. Has anyone seen the traffic stats of Kyazoonga on Alexa, Vizisense or any other such site?
