So here it comes, the much anticipated pepped up operating system from Microsoft. The company has launched its new OS, Windows 7 in India. Microsoft has also launched a Social Hub to gather public opinion about Windows 7 through various social media. Testers and early users have rated it as by far the best operating system created by Windows in its history (and future included?)

The latest version has an upgraded taskbar with one click multimedia access. By including features like Remote Media Streaming and multimedia control programs, Windows 7 seems to prepare a counter-attack Google’s Chrome OS. We had already covered the system requirements necessary for Windows 7.
There are six editions available for Windows, with two standard versions Windows 7 Home Premium and Windows 7 Professional for SMEs. A stripped down version Windows 7 Home Basic is also available in emerging markets. Other three editions are Windows 7 Starter, Windows 7 Enterprise and Windows 7 Ultimate. The price range for Premium version is around $299 while an upgrade to Windows 7 Home premium from an existing XP or Vista will cost only $119.
Windows 7, which became the highest grossing pre-order product is the talk of whole social media since morning and hopefully the whole web will be buzzing with adulation for this new OS for the next couple of days.
