Everyone has “wow! Boss is late to work today” moments to “if i work anymore, my head will burst” moments in their office life almost on a day to day basis. The only getaway in such moments is the internet. Lets face it, you can not watch YouTube videos or read e-newspapers whole day, sometimes you need some refreshing games/websites to freshen up your mind and start working again! So here is our list of such websites -
Mystery Google
In short, this website is “I am feeling lucky” button redesigned! The catch is that it will take you to the first result from the search results of the person who used the site just before you! Your search results will be shown to the person who uses it just after you. This site is best for the times when you do not precisely know what you want to look for to kill time and when you are feeling a bit adventurous. Go try it out!
Stumble!
Another one of my geeky favorites. You can just select the areas of your interest while creating your profile and then just press Stumble and you will be taken to a random website which matches your interest. And the best part is keep on pressing stumble, i never came across a same website ever again, so there is always a new surprise in store for you!
Urban Dictionary!
As the name suggests, this is a dictionary-cum-compendium of all the slangs used by the urban youth. Sometimes the words are really cool and sometimes too hot to handle! We advise you to use those words with caution, specially at your workplace!
Future Me
So this website is really made for you if forget everyone’s birthday! You can send future dated emails to yourself or others. So what are you waiting for? Go ahead and send a future email to everyone wishing them birthday precisely at the stroke of the midnight!
Desktop Tower Defense
The basic requirements to play this game are a mouse, headphones and a corner seat. This is a single player game and requires 10-20 minutes of your time. Do take care to make a poker face so that you look immensely submerged in work. Enjoy!
Twitter
Nothing can be as satisfying as telling the whole world about how many cups of tea you had today or better, how much time is left to go home. Maintain a Tweet countdown of “Time left to go home”! (Don’t forget to write a bye bye Tweet to people working till late in office)
Any more such sites? Do let us know!
PS: My article was inspired by this one though I didnt quite agree with their choice of sites
